Brent oil prices declines in April

The oil price for Brent crude oils in April was 21.38$ per barrel while the price was 32.01$ per barrel in March of 2020. Over last twelve months the price has fallen 69.98%.

Brent crude is extracted from the North Sea and is also known as London Brent, North Sea Oil, Brent Blend and Brent petroleum. It is a light crude oil, slightly heavier than WTI, and sweet because of its low sulphur content and it is ideal for the refining of diesel fuel, gasoline.

Brent oil makes up more than half of the world’s globally traded supply of crude oil. Brent blend crude serves as benchmark price for purchases of oil worldwide. It is traded electronically via the ICE futures exchange.

Brent (Brent Crude Oil) — марка нефти, добываемая в Северном море. Название сорта происходит от одноименного месторождения. Является одной из основных марок нефти, торгуемых на международных нефтяных биржах, преимущественно на ICE (IntercontinentalExchange). Цена нефти Brent с 1971 года является основой для ценообразования около 40% всех мировых сортов нефти, в частности, российской нефти Urals. Поэтому данную марку называют эталонной, или маркерной.
